International Nurse Recruitment in Norfolk & Waveney

Norfolk and Waveney Health and Care Partnership are pleased to be working with NHS organisations to recruit internationally trained nurses to come and join us.

We have created vibrant and welcoming environments for nurses who have trained overseas. Working with our partners across Norfolk & Waveney, we’ve designed training programmes and support packages to help nurses quickly settle into life in the county of Norfolk and work to pass their OSCE and gain Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.

Our international recruitment programme will take overseas nurses through the steps they’ll need to become a fully trained nurse with UK registration.

How does it work?

Joining initially as a Band 4 pre-registered Nurse, you'll spend the first few weeks being supported in our training hub to prepare for the OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination). Once the OSCE preparation programme is complete, you will commence induction to working as a nurse with one of our NHS Organisations and then begin clinical work as a Pre-Registered Nurse, until your NMC Pin has been received.

Entry Requirements

  • Passport
  • Nursing Degree
  • CBT and English Language Qualification (IELTs or OET)

Benefits of the programme:

  • Salary
  • Entry into NHS Pension
  • Free Certificate of Sponsorship
  • Reimbursement of Visa, CBT and IELTs/OET
  • Flights to the UK
  • Free accommodation for two months

Your journey to UK Nursing and Midwifery Council registration

International nurses are trained differently to the UK standard of nursing, which is why the Nursing and Midwifery Council have put tests in place to ensure the nurses are ready to work in the UK when they arrive.
