Phone lines are open 8.30am to 1pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Appointments, which must be booked in advance, are available Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 6pm and Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm.

Ground floor, between the Pharmacy and the Department of Medicine.

The Audiology department provides a service for people of all ages who have hearing difficulties - from initial hearing assessment, fitting hearing aids, hearing aid repairs and ongoing maintenance.
Specialist Vestibular and Hearing Therapy including tinnitus management are also provided.
A sudden hearing loss or sudden change in hearing can have different causes, some of which may benefit from urgent investigation and specialist treatment.
If you have a sudden hearing loss (over a period of three days or less) you should arrange to be seen by your GP or in your local emergency department.
Your local Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) service can then be contacted to arrange tests and any appropriate treatment.

Vestibular testing tests the balance system. The tests are usually requested by the Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) or Neurology departments at the hospital and are carried out by an audiologist in our Audiology Department.
