If you have been referred to the audiology department you will receive an appointment with an audiologist.
This appointment will last up to 60 minutes. Please feel free to bring a friend or family member to the appointment with you.
The Audiologist will ask you questions about your ears, hearing and other information about your health. They will also ask about the situations you have difficulties hearing in.
The audiologist will look in your ears. If you have excessive wax or an infection it will limit what the audiologist can do.
Please make sure your ears are free from wax and ear infections.
The audiologist will place a set of head phones over your ears. Each time you hear a sound you will press a button. These sounds will vary in loudness and pitch. The quietest sounds you can hear will be recorded for each ear.
