Simulation Suite

Our simulation training allows participants to practise real life scenarios/situations within the protection of a simulated environment, with a strong emphasis on multi-professional, multi-disciplinary training and self-evaluation.

We deliver regional and local training to healthcare professionals from a variety of departments.

The latest in medical simulation models are operated from the control room. The models can mimic medical problems and can respond to treatments or drugs.

Simulation helps to not only develop clinical knowledge but to also advance non-technical skills and teach the importance of human factors in the healthcare profession. When delivered at the point-of-care it also identifies improvements that can be made in the working environment.

Virtual Reality Simulation

Using Meta Quest 2 and Oxford Medical Simulation

Using either virtual reality headsets or standard computers, learners can care for unwell virtual patients, work with their colleagues and engage with the interdisciplinary team just like in real life.

With artificial intelligence-driven patients, leading-edge animation, adaptive conversation and dynamic physiology, scenarios look and feel real. Personalised feedback, performance metrics and a guided debrief helps to improve performance over time.

Oxford Medical Simulation is the program we use to teach our students to practice in a safe environment without putting our patients at risk.
