International Women’s Day 2026 event in Gorleston

Sunday 08 March 2026

10am to 3pm

Gorleston's Pavilion Theatre

An International Women’s Day celebration is being held at Gorleston’s Pavilion Theatre on Sunday 8 March, and we can now reveal some of the stands and attractions that will be at this year’s event.

As with the event last year, a variety of organisations are taking part, with the day open to all between 10am and 3pm. You can drop in whenever you’d like to and speak with a range of local groups that are here to support and help.

There will be stands from education providers such as East Coast College and Into University, you can get health support from Epilepsy Action, our Migraine Peer Support Group, Pelvic Health team and iCASH, find out more about local Menopause group Menopause Mayhem, talk to organisations including Norfolk Police, the RNLI and the WI (Women’s Institute), and get support from Feathers Futures, Change Grow Live and Dandelions Great Yarmouth.

You’ll be able to chat to Strike Back self defence for women, KnowU Wellbeing and Social Prescribers, learn more about Talking Therapies from MIND, pick up information about Pilates and Polefit exercise classes, discover Beaver Scout groups, find out about Heart 2 Heart Norfolk and hear about Cultural Connections and Procommunity CIC in Great Yarmouth.

There will also be the chance to buy a delicious cake or sweet treat from Dotty’s Delights, to donate your old bras via the bra bank, to watch two local dance groups perform on stage, to see a self-defence demonstration, and to hear from GP and menopause specialist Dr Kate Ashdown-Nichol.

Women and girls of all ages are invited along, and the event is open to everyone and free to attend.
