Nursing Scholarship applications open

The James Paget is offering an innovative way to study, qualify and work as a Registered Nurse.

The new nursing scholarship is designed to help members of our local community who want to work as part of our nursing team progress through their studies, register as a nurse and join our workforce.

For the first time, the Trust is offering support to people looking to study nursing from September 2025, by covering the full cost of the University Tuition fees for BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing, to help them complete their studies at a degree level.

Working with the University of East Anglia and the University of Suffolk, the scholarship is designed to help people from our local communities achieve their aim of being a Registered Nurse and deliver high quality healthcare services to the people of Norfolk and Waveney.

In return for full payment of the University Tuition fees for the BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing course, you will be expected to commit to working as a Registered Nurse at the James Paget University Hospital for a period of two years once you have qualified.

We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about nursing and providing care to the people of Norfolk and Waveney and who clearly align to our organisational values of Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Empowerment and Support and you will be assessed against these values as part of the selection process.

For more information, including the eligibility criteria, please visit the Nurse Recruitment page of our website here and click on the ‘Nursing Scholarship’ drop-down.

The closing date for applications is midnight on Sunday 29 June 2025 (Sunday into Monday 30th).

Please be aware that the application process may close early if we receive a high volume of interest.
