Today is International Volunteer Day and we’re celebrating all our wonderful volunteers who work to support patients and staff across our hospital.
From our front desk volunteers, who help visitors arriving at our hospital, to those who work behind the scenes, we are grateful for everything you do and, as this year’s theme highlights, ‘Every Contribution Matters’. Thank you for giving your time to help patients, visitors and staff at the James Paget.
We always welcome new volunteers and are currently looking for Digital Mealtime Assistants to help patients with ordering meals and assisting at mealtimes. Some basic digital skills and a willingness to help patients are important for this role, and we’d ask that you provide a minimum of four hours per week to assist, but you don’t need to have any particular experience.
