Ward 11, the James Paget’s Maternity ward, will move back to its original location after being temporarily moved to Ward 7. Ward 11 will return to its location on Tuesday 26th August. Please note that maternity triage will continue to be temporarily provided in the Central Delivery Suite, and will move into Ward 11 on Monday 8th September.
Thank you to all of our families, visitors and staff for your patience while the maternity ward was located on Ward 7. This has allowed the hospital to complete vital work to secure the reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) roof panels on the ward, and also improve the internal layout of the ward to support mothers and families while in the care of our maternity team.
Work continues on the James Paget’s programme of securing RAAC panels across its estate. Ward 12, our Older People’s Medicine ward, will be relocated to Ward 7 on Thursday 28th August, and is scheduled to remain in this location until late December 2025 when the work will be complete.
