We'd like to say a big thank you to some of the young people who have supported our hospital in recent days.
Hopton Church of England Primary Academy have dropped off hand designed cards and biscuits for patients, helping us to brighten up Christmas Day for everyone who is staying with us, and those working in the hospital. We also owe thanks to pupils and staff at Great Yarmouth Primary Academy, particularly Miss Huggins and her elves, for the lovely Christmas cards for our staff working over the festive period. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and beautiful creations.
We’d also like to thank 17-year-old Abbie, from Gresham’s Senior School, and Gresham’s school charity knitting group, who have provided a number of cannula cover sleeves for our youngest patients. Abbie started knitting in September 2019 and has knitted 35 of the sleeves while the knitting group contribution meant more than 50 were delivered at the weekend. We’re grateful for your support – thank you.

We’d like to say a massive thank you to a number of local businesses who have gifted a range of chocolates, biscuits, mince pies and hampers for our staff and patients over the Christmas period.
During the past week or so we’ve received Maltesers chocolate reindeers from Bid Foods, mince pies from Iceland in Gorleston, selection boxes with a colouring book and crayons included and biscuits from Morrisons in Gorleston and hampers from the team at Morrisons at North Quay in Lowestoft and we’d like to say thank you to everyone involved.
Our photos show some of these arriving at our charity office where co-ordinator Maxine has been arranging distribution, with staff including Domestic Supervisor Lisa among those picking up some of the goodies for her team.
In total Christmas goodies have been distributed to over 80 different wards, teams and departments across our hospital site.
