Our innovative Concept Ward received its first patients this week.
Staff and patients from Ward 6 moved to the new facility on Thursday (8 June) and will be based there temporarily for two months while refurbishment and maintenance work takes place on their ward in the main hospital building.
Most patients on the new ward are receiving care in spacious, single rooms with en-suite facilities.
Our photograph below shows some of the Ward 6 team, along with staff from various departments who helped with the move to the Concept Ward.
Family/friends visiting patients on the new ward should make their way to the hospital’s North Corridor and then follow signs to the entrance of the Concept Ward, which is opposite the Dermatology Department.
The Concept Ward has been created using the latest methods of construction - and incorporates modern design and new technology to provide patients with a comfortable environment while they are in our care.
