New donation box and bucket signs created for our charity

20 March 2024

Our James Paget Hospital Charity now has new collection bucket and donation box signs thanks to the generosity of Seaward Safety Ltd, based in Lowestoft.

The new signs give a professional look to our collection buckets and tins and have come about thanks to Julie Harbord and her boss, Seaward Safety Managing Director Ian Williams.

Jules, Maxine and Ian stand in front of the large James Paget logo which is on the grey building extension to the front of our hospital. The three hold a collection of donation red and blue buckets and tins, all sign written 'James Paget Hospital Charity'.

Julie (Jules) Harbord supported our hospital’s paediatric diabetes team through her fundraising when she was Gorleston Golf Club’s 2023 Ladies Captain – raising more than £7,000 through events at the golf club - and, as she works for Seaward, who are specialists in the survey, design, manufacture, supply and installation of safety signage to energy, marine and commercial industries, she encouraged her boss to lend support too.
This resulted in the company printing signage for collection boxes and buckets for our charity and these were formally handed over to Charity Manager Maxine on Tuesday.
Maxine said; “These new signs are great. Previously we were sticking things onto the buckets ourselves and these often became tattered and loose quite quickly. The new signs will be more durable as they stick and fit perfectly. We’re really pleased with them and we would like to thank Jules, Ian and all at Seaward Safety for your help and support.”
