James Paget Hospital is delighted to share its vision for Future Paget – our ambitious plans for a new hospital for people living in Great Yarmouth and Waveney.
The hospital is inviting people to attend open events across Great Yarmouth and Waveney to view the plans for Future Paget, and give their feedback. Details on the events are as follows:
- The Cliff Hotel, Gorleston – Tuesday 29th April, 2pm - 7pm
- Great Yarmouth Town Hall – Wednesday 30th April, 2pm - 7pm
- Lowestoft Library – Wednesday 7th May, 1pm - 5:30pm
- East Point Pavilion – Thursday 8th May, 2pm - 7pm
- Burrage Centre, James Paget University Hospital – Wednesday 14th May, 2pm - 7pm
Our vision for Future Paget is the latest design of what our new hospital could look like, situated to the rear of where James Paget University Hospital currently stands.
These plans have been produced to help show our staff, our patients, and our communities the size, scale and location of our new hospital – created through input from our staff and expert health planners, and incorporating national guidance from the Department of Health and Social Care’s New Hospital Programme.
We’re sharing our plans as we want to hear the views of everyone as we shape the Future Paget Programme. It’s crucial we listen to feedback as we work with local planners and communities to ensure our hospital continues to be a local anchor institution, providing care for our future populations.
Our hospital has been prioritised by the Government to be rebuilt, and has been allocated a budget of £1-1.5 billion to complete the project. The Future Paget vision outlines what we want to achieve – a new hospital that can make everyone Proud of the Paget.
