Vandana Khurana, Transformation Project Manager at James Paget Hospital, was the overall winner of Norfolk and Waveney University Hospitals Group’s first annual ‘Great Get Together’ Poster competition, held in June.
This competition was run and supported by the respective Libraries across our three hospitals, and challenged staff and teams to create posters that showcased their department or service, work they are proud of, and examples of working collaboratively.
Vandana’s entry focused on the James Paget’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Staff (EDIS) Network, and its work on creating an inclusive workplace where every voice is valued. Staff across the three hospitals were able to view and vote for their favourite poster, with the top five reviewed by the Library Manager at each hospital.
Vandana’s poster was commended for its impactful design, reflection of James Paget Hospital values, and celebration of the EDIS Network’s activities, including Diwali and other cultural celebration events.

- Victoria Brown for ‘Community Engagement for Global Ethnic Minority Families in the Great Yarmouth area: Understanding the influences in participating in maternity research.
Norfolk and Waveney University Hospitals NHS Trust Group Medical Officer Rob Sherwin said: “I found the showcase a really positive and uplifting experience. It was inspiring to see the breadth and depth of work that colleagues across all three sites are passionate about and delivering. The posters were colourful, informative, and clearly the product of significant thought and effort.”
The ‘Great Get Together’ is planned as an annual event aimed at showcasing the breadth and quality of work happening across the Hospitals Group, and bringing teams and services across our hospitals closer together.
