Waiting times
The James Paget University Hospitals works to ensure that all patients are seen and treated as quickly as possible.
As set out in the NHS Constitution, patients have the right to access services within maximum waiting times.
This includes starting consultant-led treatment within a maximum of 18 weeks (126 days), unless the patient chooses to wait longer or it is clinically appropriate that they wait longer. You can read more about this on our 18 week referrals page here.
Our teams are working hard to reduce the number of patients waiting and we are prioritising patients with cancer, the most urgent and those waiting longest for their treatment.
If you or someone you care for are waiting for medical care, you may have concerns or questions.
The Norfolk & Waveney Integrated Care System have put together some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) which you can view here.
My Planned Care
The 'My Planned Care' website gives you advice and support while you wait and helps you to prepare for your hospital consultation, treatment, or surgery.
This includes giving you information about waiting times at your hospital and other supporting and local services while you wait. Please note that these are average waiting times and the site is updated weekly.
