Birth Matters Service
The Birth Matters Service is a perinatal listening service run by experienced midwives at James Paget University Hospital. This means that we offer support to families throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period by listening, providing information and facilitating onward referrals and care planning.
This may be in the form of a “Birth Reflections” style appointment where you can come to talk through your birth to help you understand the events, be heard in your experience or give feedback about your care. Or this may be in a “Birth Choices” style appointment where you discuss your options for birth and are supported to create a personalised plan of care for pregnancy, birth and/or postpartum.
