First floor, south corridor, please follow the signs. Community midwives clinics are held in GP surgeries and Children’s Centres: your Community Midwife will tell you where you should attend.
Services provided - Antenatal clinic; Ultrasound; Community midwifery; Antenatal/Postnatal wards; Maternity Assessment Unit; Maternity Triage; Delivery Suite; Dolphin Suite midwife led unit; Specialist Midwives: mental health, diabetes, infant feeding.
We offer a range of services for women, birthing people, and families before, during and after birth. We aim to work with you to ensure that the care you receive is tailored to your unique situation.
We recognise that you may have concerns during your pregnancy and we would encourage you to speak to your midwife if there is anything you would like to talk about.
We are aware that those from ethnic minority communities or from vulnerable backgrounds may need support to access our services and we are here to help. Our midwives are happy to talk through any concerns you may have and will do everything they can to support you through your pregnancy.

Meet some of our senior maternity team
Hello, my name is Tracey Hannant, and I am the Midwifery Matron for the Community and Outpatient teams at the James Paget University Hospitals Trust. My role includes oversight and management of our community midwifery teams, as well as the Antenatal Clinic, Maternity Assessment Unit, and Triage teams.
My name is Karen Erskine. I joined the James Paget hospital in 2001 and have worked in a variety of roles including Drug & Alcohol Specialist Midwife and Ward Manager. I am currently Quality & Workforce Matron, which involves monitoring standards of care, having oversight of workforce planning and supporting the service to ensure we have sufficient staff to provide a high standard of care.
My name is Karen Deakin. I qualified in 2003 and have worked in all areas of the maternity service, both community and acute, since. I have worked at matron level in a variety of maternity units, both large and small, rural and cities, since 2014. My whole ethos throughout my career has been to provide all women and their families with the safest, highest quality care.
